The farm, known as Berndlhof, is located in the middle of Mitterberg, a climatic spa area. The village is actually called Zirting (800m above sea level) and is part of the municipal, Mitterberg – St. Martin. Our farm is situated in the tourism region, Schladming-Dachstein (Groebmingerland), which provides plenty of holiday activities. Thus, we are an ideal starting point for a recreational and/or adventurous summer and winter Holiday.

Our farm Berndlhof is an agricultural grassland farm with about 40 cattle. 6 of them are cows, held for milk purposes (Berndlhof-Cheese) and the rest are calves of various ages. Additionally we have two pigs and three cats. As mentioned above, part of our farm is a chalet called Kaltenbachalm, which we service for three months during the summer. We offer self-made products. Kaltenbachalm (1600m above sea level) is about 30km away from Berndlhof at the Soelkpass submontane. During the summer it is easily accessible by car and offers hiking opportunities at various difficulty levels, starting from lovely paths for families, to more advanced Trails.

Familie Fuchs

We, the Fuchs family, manage the farm "Berndlhof" and the Kaltenbachalm. It is an inherited courtyard, which I (Manuela)  took over from my parents  in 2007. We have two daughters:  A seven year old daughter called Emilia and a six month old daughter called Sophia.

​My husband is working as a polisher (bricklayer). Since the farm handover has increasingly he makes the barn (milking, feeding, cleaning out) and haymaking and additionally he is doing the cheese production in our little farm-dairy. In winter time additionally he works in the skiing area Hauser Kaibling at the skiing lift.

I have studied  Psychology (Diploma program)  and education sciences (Bachelor program).
 Since the farm handover has increasingly  I have a Part-time employment as an odination assistant at a veterinarian in Gröbming. Additionally I help in the barn, in our little dairy and I take care of our daughters and the Apartment.
